人生や現実、諸々の森羅万象と真摯に向き合っていると、否が応でも世の中の真相（ここでは敢えて「真実」とは言わず「真相」ということばを選びます）が見えてくるものです。
物事の真相を捉えにいくと、どうしても「性善説」では説明がつかない事象が多々浮かび上がってきます。
お気の毒であるのは、善意らしき幻想といったものを頑なに信じ込んでいるナイーブなひとたちであり、騙されて最後にババを引くのは悲しいかないつも彼らであるということです。
「地獄は善意で満ちているが、天国は善行で満ちている」というヨーロッパの格言にある通り、「善意」と「善行」を履き違えると痛い目に遭うのでしょう。

When you face life, reality and all things in all its variety with sincerity, you will, whether you like it or not, come to see the truth of this world.
When you try to get to the bottom of things, you will inevitably come across many events that cannot be explained by the ‘goodness theory’.
What is unfortunate is that it is the naïve people who stubbornly believe in the illusion of good intentions, and sadly it is always they who are deceived and end up being the last to bite the dust.
As the European saying goes, ‘Hell is full of good intentions, but heaven is full of good deeds’, and if you mistake ‘good intentions’ for ‘good deeds’, you will probably get hurt.
